Students — your opportunity to join Moot Court is approaching. The Internal Competition is your only opportunity to join Florida Coastal’s nationally ranked Moot Court Honor Board.
Teams from the Honor Board have traveled to places such as New York City, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Charleston, Houston, Boston and other cities to compete against law schools from around the country and around the world.
For years, along with Duke, Columbia, NYU and Georgetown, Florida Coastal has ranked in the Top 10 among all law schools in the country in moot court. Florida Coastal ranked first in the country (out of over 200 law schools) in two of the past three academic years.
1Ls who matriculated to the school in summer or fall are eligible to try out during the spring internal competition, which usually takes place in April. 1Ls who matriculated to the school as a spring admit will have a separate internal competition during the summer after their first semester in law school. Part-time and accelerated track students may fall into either category, depending on their status at the time of spring tryouts — contact the faculty advisor to determine which tryouts are appropriate for you.
In order to tryout, interested students must attend one of several Informational Sessions that will be given prior to the internal competition.
