Florida Coastal School of Law (Coastal Law) has a unique skills-based program that is student-centered. Its programs are designed to advance students’ success in law school, on the bar exam, and in their careers. The school’s curriculum focuses on experiential education: the hands-on learning needed to equip graduates with the leadership, management, and interpersonal skills that are necessary for career success.
Our Full-Time Day Program requires students to enroll in 13 or more credits per semester. During our student's first year they will be enrolled in roughly five classes per semester which will be preselected by the Registrar’s Office. Classes will be held Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30am-5: 00 pm. Students may have a later evening class assigned to them as well.
Coastal Law enrollment works on rolling admissions. This process provides the student with the opportunity to re-take the LSAT closer to the start of each term if needed. We accept through the June LSAT for our Fall class and through the November LSAT for our Spring class. Our Full-Time JD Program start dates are Fall (mid-August) and Spring (end of January).
Regardless of when you start at Coastal Law, you will receive the same quality education and curriculum along with the opportunity to participate in Law Review, Mock Trial, Moot Court, clerkships, and externships.
