Congratulations to our Moot Court team that traveled to Houston this past weekend to compete in the Andrews Kurth Kenyon Moot Court National Championship. This competition was by invitation-only because Coastal Law finished in the Top 16 of all schools in Moot Court last year.  Thus, they competed against the best of the best that the nation had to offer.

Coastal Law was represented by Robert Kennedy, Alexandra Compere, and Mia Jeckel, and managed by Sarah Planchart.

Although they did not advance into the final rounds, our team performed admirably, receiving many accolades from the judges after each of the four preliminary rounds. The problem was an interesting one, giving the students a chance to learn much about the arbitration process in the NFL, and about Tom Brady and “deflate-gate”.

These students deserve our appreciation for the dedicated work and countless hours they put into preparing for these competitions over the course of several months. Thanks also to those Faculty and Alumni who assisted in team preparation along the way.
