Scholarship to reward outstanding law school leadership in addition to classroom performance.
Amount: $5,000 (to be awarded $2,500 in the Fall ‘19 semester and $2,500 in the Spring ’20 semester)
Eligibility: Must be 2nd semester 1L, 2L, or 1st semester 3L on first day of class, Fall 2019 and top 30% academically
Description: The Martha Sonnenschein Scholarship was created to reward outstanding leadership in law school in addition to classroom performance. Leadership may be demonstrated through activities and contributions to student organizations, pro bono achievement, academic teams (moot court and mock trial achievement), and publication.
Submission Instructions: Students should complete the application form online by COB April 17, 2019.
Application Evaluations: The Coastal Law Foundation’s Faculty/Staff Scholarship Committee will evaluate each scholarship application and select the scholarship recipients in its sole discretion, bound only by the purposes of the scholarship and scholarship criteria. To facilitate the decision making process, the Scholarship Committee may, in its discretion, require a personal interview with any or all scholarship applicants.
