Florida Coastal School of Law has earned the Military Friendly® Schools designation for the second consecutive year. The designation is awarded to universities, community colleges and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace military students and to ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation.
First published in 2009, the Military Friendly Schools list is a comprehensive, resource for veterans. Each year, the list of schools determined to be military friendly is provided to service members and their families, helping them select the best college, university or trade school to receive the education and training needed to pursue a civilian career.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated on a number of criteria, including admissions and orientation policies, culture and commitment, financial aid, student support and retention, graduation benchmarks and career paths.
Coastal Law offers the Yellow Ribbon Program, sponsors a Veteran’s Mentoring program, and has an active student-run Military Law Society that works to discuss the issues that affect the military today and to promote awareness of the relationship between Military Law, Civilian Law and International Law.
