On June 1, 2017, Tammy Hodo, Ph.D., Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Florida Coastal School of Law spoke at the 32nd National Conference on Preventing Crime in the Black Community held in Orlando, FL. Dr. Hodo delivered her speech titled, “The Crisis within our Community: The State of the Black Family.” She addressed the need for economic development in the black community considering the fact that race and income are directly correlated.
