On Tuesday, August 29, a delegation from Egypt focusing on Rule of Law and Judicial Reform met with representatives of Florida Coastal School of Law. The visitors participated in a roundtable discussion with faculty and students, with conversations focused on the role of Florida's Sunshine Laws in promoting transparency and the rule of law. City Attorney (and former Coastal Law professor) Stephen Durden joined Professor Roederer to talk about the Sunshine Laws. Dialogue also included discussions of the school’s dedication to practical training through pro bono work, the value of pro bono legal education and the role of ethics and multiculturalism in the training of lawyers.

Thank you to Dr. Artley, Dr. Hodo, Prof. Roederer, Prof. Millard, Prof. Hawhorne, Cleopatra Smith and our clinic and pro bono students for their assistance yesterday hosting and welcoming the Egyptian Delegation. We would also like to thank GlobalJax for arranging the visit.
