The Southeastern Intellectual Property Job Fair (SIPJF) is an initiative founded by the Intellectual Property Advisory Board, which is an alumni group associated with the Georgia State University College of Law. The fair is managed and executed by the Georgia State University College of Law Career Services Office. Many members of the Founders group are very active in Atlanta’s IP community, working in the city’s most well known companies and firms. SIPJF has been made possible by a joint effort of student volunteers, alumni, and the Georgia State University College of Law Career Services Office.
SIPJF mainly targets fulfilling summer associate and entry-level positions for 2011. Consequently, participation is open to full-time and part-time students (from registered schools) who are classified as rising 2L or rising 3L students, who will return for classes for the Fall 2011 semester. Students that will graduate in the Spring or Summer of 2011 are not eligible (unless specifically requested by an employer). LLM students and Alumni are also ineligible.
Students may begin registering for the fair on May 9th. Complete the registration form and turn it into Heather McArthur in our office. For more information about SIPJF go to http://law.gsu.edu/careers/sipjf.
