On February 8th , Financial Aid will have a representative from the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) here on campus to present a one hour workshop on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program for federal student loans. This program was set up to assist students that go into public service to have portions of their federal student loans forgiven. This presentation will be in Room 515 from 12-1 on February 8th and is sponsored by SBA and the Financial Aid Office. There will be a raffle for a $25 Visa gift card at the end of the presentation. The room accommodates 82 people so seating will be on a first come first serve basis. For those unable to attend we will record the presentation and make it available on the Financial Aid website.
Professor Tanya Marsh from Wake Forest University School of Law will be a guest lecturer in Professor Whitfield’s class on Friday, January 28th in Room 250. The lecture is scheduled for 12:00 noon. Professor Marsh’s topic is: “Regulating God’s Acre: Custom, Commerce and Choice in the American Cemetery.” Her talk is being funded by the Florida Title Fund.
