The Seventh Annual Job Fair of the Southern Region of the National Black Law Students Association was hosted by Florida Coastal on Friday and Saturday.
By all accounts, the event was SRBLSA’s most successful job fair to date, and over 60 students participated in the activities. Eleven firms from eight states participated in the fair as either “direct interview” or “resume collect” firms. Twenty-one students from nine states were selected for OCI-style interviews. The networking mixer was attended by over 40 Florida Coastal students and alumni, the D.W. Perkins Bar Association, and other members of Jacksonville’s legal community.
Aside from the fine support of local attorneys and alumni, the event was successful due to the work of Daphne Shaw, Regional Job Fair Coordinator for the SRBLSA organization. Other BLSA and SBA leadership assisted with the event, including Jenna Gailliard, Chantal Kai-Lewis, Cynthia Barnes, JaQuilla Coleman, and Dawn Owens.
