U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Legal Honors Program

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of General Counsel (OGC) is accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Legal Honors Program.

HUD attorneys from the Jacksonville field office will be presenting an informational session on the Legal Honors program on Thursday, August 28 at 12:00 PM in room 510.

All 1Ls, 2Ls, and 3Ls are welcome to attend. The Legal Honors program is only open to 3Ls, but HUD offers student internship opportunities throughout the year!

Externship Information Sessions

Mark Your CalendarWe will be holding 2 externship informational sessions for all students interested in learning about externship opportunities and the application process. If you haven’t participated in an externship before, we highly suggest you attend one of the meetings.

The sessions will be offered twice but you only need to attend one!

Wednesday, September 3 at 12:00 p.m. in Room 405

Monday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 555

The externship application period for spring 2015 will take place during September. The open and close dates will be announced soon.

Welcome Back Students!

download (1)We hope everyone had a wonderful summer break! While you were away, we made a couple of changes.

1) We changed our name! Career Services will now be known as the Center for Professional Development or CPD.

2) We have two new team members! C.J. Gomes is a new Career Counselor and Ron Talone is our new Administrative Assistant. Stop in the CPD to say hello!

3) Walk-in Wednesday! If you have a quick question or want a counselor to glance at your resume or cover letter, feel free to stop into the CPD on Wednesdays between 10 am – 4 pm. No appointment needed on Wednesday only!

4) The CPD is now on Twitter  and LinkedIn! Be sure to follow and connect with us for the latest information.
