What is your favorite Coastal memory? I absolutely loved being apart of the school’s Mock Trial team. The level of enthusiasm of my teammates and our coaches was always infectious. While it was hard work I always felt feeling like I had accomplished so much after every practice. I also loved being the director of the Pro Bono Society and creating different events for fellow students to get directly involved in the Jacksonville community.
What is your proudest professional moment? After arguing a very difficult case in front of a Judge at the Queens Supreme Court, I was called back and told that I was one of the most dedicated attorneys the Judge had had in his part and that my work was fantastic, noticed and appreciated. It was definitely a proud moment for me as my fellow attorneys that practice matrimonial law in New York are definitely not easy competition!
What is on your bookshelf? On the left side, dozens of matrimonial and family law books. On the right side, various books on World War II Italian history.
What advice do you have for someone considering law school? Law school is a huge commitment financially, emotionally and time wise. Be sure that it is what you want to do. You truly need to give it your all every single day. The learning and studying does not stop when you graduate. Each day I am constantly learning something new and it is the habits that I built at FCSL that help me to succeed in my own practice each and every day.
Who did you call when you found out you passed the bar? After waiting for two hours since the servers kept crashing, I finally found out that I had passed the NY bar on the first time. I immediately called my Mom who was at work and my Dad who was out of town for the week. The unadulterated joy that I felt in that moment was something I will never forget.
