Part Time Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Essential Job Functions
  • Schedule all preventative maintenance on major equipment systems with approved vendors.
  • Manage all aspects of vendor relations including monitoring vendor’s performance, and if needed, taking corrective action.
  • Obtain, submit and track payment of all invoices related to facilities.
  • Operate and repair HVAC (chillers, towers and pumps), mechanical, life safety, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Monitor and operate facilities equipment (chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and lights) using Automated Building Management System.
  • Move large furniture and other items throughout building as needed.
  • Perform light carpentry work such as painting and sheet rock repairs.
  • Respond to and satisfactorily complete all facilities requests made by students, staff, and faculty within a 24-hour period.
  • Perform routine maintenance items (i.e. changing light bulbs, pressure washing, order supplies, deliver printer paper, and other duties as requested).

Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and self-motivated.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and Automated Building Management Systems.
  • 5+ years of operations and customer service experience.
  • Experience with emergency generating systems preferred.
