Currently serving as the Director of Academic Technology for Florida Coastal School of Law, Susie Pontiff Stringer brings over twenty years’ experience in business, management, training, and leadership in private industry. With a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Averett University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Shenandoah University, Dr. Pontiff Stringer completed her doctoral studies in Human Resource Development at The George Washington University. Her research areas centered on qualitative studies of human behavior, including a firefighter’s story of the Pentagon disaster on September 11, 2001, and managers’ experiences when faced with ethical dilemmas in their organizations. Her dissertation, Ethical Choices, has been published as a book. She has served as a reviewer for the Academy of Management Conference since 2000.

Dr. Pontiff Stringer previously served as the Director of Florida State College Cecil Center North, where she was responsible for the growth and direction of what will eventually be FCCJ’s newest campus. Prior to moving to Jacksonville, she served as the Assistant Dean and Regional Director for Averett University’s Greater Washington (D.C.) Region, where she was responsible for the northern Virginia Campus and nine off-site teaching locations. Pontiff Stringer has been teaching in higher education since 1999 in both face-to-face and online environments for Averett University, Florida State College, the University of Phoenix, the University of Maryland University College, and The George Washington University.

With a strong belief in giving back to her community, Dr. Pontiff is a Past-President of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce West Council.
