Criminal Law Society

If you are interested in any facet of Criminal Law this is the society for you. The Criminal Law Society will offer students a wide range of opportunities including resume boosters, field trips, guest speakers, career opportunities, community involvement, networking, social events, leadership opportunities, and much more.

The field of criminal law provides a diverse range of employment opportunities in both traditional and non-traditional legal practice such as U.S. Attorneys, State and District Attorneys, Public Defenders, Private Defense Attorneys, F.B.I. Agents, and Police Legal Counsel. Criminal law is quickly expanding and will continue to introduce more job prospects in the future.

The Criminal Law Society hopes to offer activities such as;

·         Trial viewing field trips.

·         Field trips inside Prisons.

·         CSI lab tours

·         Sheriff ride-alongs

·         Community Volunteer Outreach.

·         Guest Speakers such as:

       F.B.I. & D.E.A. agents.

       Local Law Enforcement officials.

       Federal and State Judges.

       State and District Attorneys.

       Public Defenders and Private Defense Attorneys.

In addition to the above mentioned activities, the Criminal Law Society hopes to provide Forums on alternatives to incarceration in Juvenile Justice and Forensic Investigation as well as Criminal Justice Symposiums.
