Coastal Law to host CLE and Theatre Piece in support of Human Trafficking Awareness

The Florida Coastal School of Law Foundation and the Coastal Law Legal Clinics invite students, alumni, and members of the community to attend the ArtWorks for Freedom Jax project. Two events from the project will be held on campus including a CLE titled Civil Remedies for Survivors of Human Trafficking on January 30 and an theatre piece titled Walking in their Footsteps on January 30 and 31.

This free CLE was designed to support the increased need for pro bono representation of survivors of human trafficking and will count for three general CLE credits applied with the Florida Bar. Speakers include Michelle Clowe, Chair of Jacksonville’s Human Trafficking Coalition/ Human Trafficking Victim Advocate World Relief, LaVerne Morgan Andreasen Esq., and Jay Howell Esq. This is event will take place on Thursday, January 30 from 1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. in room 450. Please RSVP to ecurran@fcsl.edu, space is limited.

The Walking in their Footsteps theatre piece in an interactive theatre experience which will give viewers an inside look into the world of human trafficking. Performances will be held on the fifth floor of Coastal Law on Thursday January 30 at 4:00p.m. and Friday, January 31 at 5:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. Please RSVP to L.Gregoire@law.fcsl.edu.
