Coastal Law's Moot Court team issued invitations to Michael Day, Dominic DeLuca, Matthew Heberlein, Amanda Isaacs, Dazi Lenoir, Erin Martoglio, Sherea Randle and Alison Thomas to the Moot Court Honor Board after their respective performances in the school's internal competition. The internal competition, open to only first-year students, consists of two graded oral argument rounds and a writing competition and is the only avenue to joining Coastal Law's nationally ranked Moot Court program.
Additionally, the Moot Court program received honors this weekend after two of its teams competed at the Zehmer National Workers' Compensation Moot Court Competition in Orlando. The team of Michael Flores, Jessica Hanson and De'Anne Jackson reached the semi-finals of the competition, out-pacing teams from the University of Florida, Florida State, Barry University and Mississippi College of Law, among others. The team of Casey Hester, Ellen Germuska and Chris Saba won Best Brief, Second.
