Coastal Law Moot Court team advances to statewide semifinals, earns individual honor

For the seventh year in a row, a moot court team from Florida Coastal School of Law advanced to the semifinals of the Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition, Florida’s oldest and most prestigious moot court competition. Additionally, team member Catherine “C.J.” Scott was named best overall advocate in the competition.

Other Coastal Law team members include Jessica DeSantis and Mason Bradshaw, with Professor Sander Moody serving as coach.

Historically, the Robert Orseck Moot Court Competition is held in conjunction with the annual Florida Bar Association Meeting, with the finals being judged by justices of the Florida Supreme Court.

At the competition, the teams are given a controversial legal topic and must argue both sides of the issues.
