Faculty Highlights - December 2012

Prof. Jeff Todd, along with Prof. Kirsten K. Davis of Stetson University School of Law, have arranged the first Colloquium on Law and Rhetoric on March 9, 2013, at Stetson’s campus in Gulfport, Florida. The event will give scholars from around the country the opportunity to discuss how rhetoric theory informs their scholarship and how it can be an ever greater part of the law school curriculum.

Register now for 2013 Ehrlich Award luncheon

Duval County Judge Roberto A. Arias has won this year's prestigious Justice Raymond Ehrlich Award. Florida Coastal School of Law's Student Bar Association (SBA) will present the award to Arias on Thursday, February 7 from noon to 1:30p.m. at the River Club. Register here.

The SBA selects a recipient who "embodies professionalism and humanitarianism and integrity in the Jacksonville community. The award is given in the name of Ehrlich, a retired state Court Chief Justice, serviceman and well known civil trial lawyer who died in 2005. On the Supreme Court, Ehrlich was "known for his clear and definitive decisions," according to his obituary.
