Professor Lois Ragsdale receives President’s Award at JALA Equal Justice Awards

Florida Coastal would like to congratulate Professor Lois Ragsdale on being one of seven distinguished individuals selected for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid President’s Award at the 14th annual Robert J. Beckham Equal Justice Award Celebration on January 15 at The River Club.

Professor Ragsdale, who had been a board member for over a year, was selected for this award by the out-going board president for her dedicated service to JALA in 2012. The Equal Justice Award Celebration is an annual event for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, honoring the spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism in the legal community in Northeast Florida.

Florida Coastal Alumni Association to host Alumni Chapter Leaders’ Summit February 1-2

This two-day summit will feature events like the Destination Event Series where current Coastal students can find out more about what it’s like to live and practice in areas outside Jacksonville as well as a reception with student leaders on campus.  Graduates will also meet with student and staff representatives and receive training from Admissions and Career Services they can take back to their chapter.  Alumni from Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville, New York City, Orlando, Pensacola, Charleston, Miami, Tallahassee, Tampa and Washington, D.C. will be in attendance.
