A Florida Coastal School of Law team reached the semifinal round in Houston this past weekend at the Moot Court National Championship, establishing the Jacksonville-based law school’s moot court honor board as among the four best nationwide. In addition to Coastal Law, teams from schools including Columbia, Duke, William & Mary, Fordham also competed.

 

Team members on the Coastal Law team include Renatha Francis, Kristin Rhodus, and Wes Ridout. Paul Knudsen served as the team manager. Professor Sander Moody coached the team.

 

Recently the Family Nurturing Center was fortunate enough to find a newer and larger location and will be relocating this weekend. They need volunteers to help with the move.  The center is a place where children can safely meet their parents for supervised visitations and exchanges, and also offers comprehensive programs to help adults learn to be better parents.  The Center is currently located at 1221 King Street in Jacksonville.
