The Environmental Law Certificate program provides students with the knowledge base and practical legal skills necessary to practice enviromental law. Students participating in the Environmental Law Certificate program also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through externships with state and local environmental agencies, law firms and NGOs. Family Law Certificate
The Family Law Certificate program consists of a group of coordinated courses designed to provide students with a substantial legal knowledge base as to a wide variety of issues in family law, and to enter the field practice-ready. International and Comparative Law Certificate
The International and Comparative Law Certificate program trains students how to negotiate complex international agreements, and appear before domestic courts, arbitration panels and international tribunals to argue cutting edge international law issues. The program also plans to offer students the opportunity to gain practical experience through externships with international tribunals, law firms and NGOs. Research, Writing and Drafting Certificate
The Research, Writing and Drafting Certificate program is designed to prepare students for practice by honing their legal analysis, research, oral advocacy and writing skills. Sports Law Certificate
The Sports Law Certificate program is administered through the Center for Law and Sports. The program consists of a group of coordinated courses designed to provide students with a substantial legal knowledge base as to how the sports industry functions under state and federal laws. The program director pursues opportunities for students enrolled in the certificate program to gain valuable legal and business experience by participating in a one semester-long paid or volunteer internship with a sports organization or university athletic department located in Jacksonville or elsewhere.
