"Every rascal is not a thief, but every thief is a rascal."
Aristotle

"Things I wonder about the FBI's list of the "Ten Most Wanted" criminals: When they catch a guy and he comes off the list, does number eleven move automatically up? And does he see it as a promotion? Does he call his criminal friends and say, "I made it Bruno. I'm finally on this list."
George Carlin

Criminal law is a subject written about by philosophers and comics, portrayed on television, documented in movies and covered on the front page of your local newspaper. Although it is a "sexy" subject, do you know what a criminal lawyer really does? If you're curious, please attend our Criminal Law panel, and meet some of the state's most prominent practitioners in the field.

On Tuesday, October 28th between 12 noon and 1:15 p.m., the Career Services Department will conduct a panel discussionwith real life criminal lawyers. Lunch will be served. Please join us in room 550 to find out such things as:
  • The personality traits and skills shared by many criminal lawyers.
  • The types of matters handled by lawyers practicing Criminal Law.
  • What employers look for when hiring a young criminal lawyer?
  • A typical day for a young lawyer entering the field.
  • Interesting "war stories" from some of the "best" criminal lawyers around.
