FCSL LTC Policies
The LTC is open to FCSL students, alumni, staff, and faculty. Please be considerate to others.
Food and covered drinks are allowed throughout the LTC except in the computer lab.
Children in the LTC must be supervised at all times.
Lost items turned in to the LTC staff will be held at the SYNC Desk for no longer than 1 month.
Please report any building, furniture, equipment or other maintenance problems to LTC staff immediately.
Bulletin boards by the 3rd floor carrels may be used for student organization and other general postings in accordance with FCSL guidelines. No postings are permitted in other areas of the LTC.
LTC users who violate any of these policies may be subject to disciplinary action, including being referred to the Honor Court, loss of LTC privileges, and/or criminal prosecution.
An FCSL ID is required for check out, and the cardholder is responsible for all materials checked out on his/her card. Materials not found in the LTC collection can often be borrowed from other libraries via InterLibrary Loan.
Unreturned or lost materials will be billed for replacement cost, plus a processing fee of $20 and billing fee of $5 per item. Fines are paid to the Finance Office. Unpaid fines may result in grades being held or registration being denied.
Emergency exits are located in the service elevator corridor in the middle of each floor and the southeast corner of each floor of the LTC. Fire extinguishers and alarms are also located throughout the LTC. In the event of a fire alarm or fire drill, immediately walk to the nearest exit (do not use the elevators), and follow all instructions of the FCSL staff.
The LTC supports the right to privacy of our users. The LTC staff is unable to disclose the location of any LTC user. The LTC will not disclose material that a person has borrowed, nor will the LTC disclose the person who has borrowed certain material.
