Reference assistance and on site use of library resources is available to all Coastal Alumni. For 150 days after graduation, graduates retain full access to the Library and all its resources not requiring an individual log in. After 150 days, graduates can continue to use these services by registering with library.
With registration, you will get an Alumni Library Card. The registration form is available online. Return the completed form to the SYNC Desk, where you may be asked for picture ID (e.g., driver’s license) to verify identity. Please allow 3 days to process the application. An Alumni ID will be available for pick up from the SYNC Desk or can be mailed. You may be asked to update your registration information periodically. The Alumni Card must be presented when checking out materials and acts as a copy card for the copy machines.
As registered alum, a maximum of 5 items can be checked out at one time. Materials circulate for a period of 2 weeks, and are renewable one time. Material can be renewed at the library or online before the due date.
Materials that have not been returned or renewed within 3 weeks of their due date will be treated as lost. An invoice will be sent for the replacement cost of the book plus processing fees. Any outstanding bills will result in suspension of borrowing privileges. Materials needed for reserve or requested by faculty or students, are subject to being recalled at any time and must be returned immediately.
Alumni who have registered may also request material through Interlibrary Loan.
