Florida Coastal School of Law President Dennis Stone announced the school has named Chidi Ogene interim dean of the law school.

Most recently, Ogene served as the general counsel of the InfiLaw System, a consortium of independent ABA-approved law schools that includes Coastal Law, Phoenix School of Law, and Charlotte School of Law. In his position, Ogene facilitated initiatives in curricular reform, transaction execution, corporate governance and compliance, litigation, and regulatory affairs.

The Florida Coastal moot court program for which Professor Sander Moody is the faculty advisor completed the year ranked second in the country, after finishing last year ranked fourth in the country. Florida Coastal's moot court program competed in twenty-two competitions this year, winning ten championships, including seven national competitions, and reaching the finals seven other times. In the history of law school advocacy, only one other law school, one time, has ever won seven national competitions in a single year.

The top-16 law schools in the country are invited each year to the Moot Court National Championship, where Florida Coastal has finished in the final-four in two of the last three years. Read on for the full highlights.
