Professor Sarah Sullivan was awarded the 2014 ABA Military Pro Bono Project Outstanding Services Award by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel. To earn this Award, Professor Sullivan, with the assistance of her students, accepted several cases through the project and completed over 100 hours of pro bono legal work for active duty military service members in the Jacksonville area.
Professor Roger Groves was a speaker at the ABA Seminar and Conference, Labor and Employment Section in Naples, Florida. The issues involved college athletes as “employees” and workers compensation implications.
Professor Bradley Shannon successfully completed the Law & Economic Center’s Workshop for Law Professors on Public Choice Economics held at the George Mason University School of Law March 19-22, 2015.
