Intersession Financial Aid

Students taking intersession classes may request to include the cost of the intersession classes into the total cost of attendance for financial aid purposes.

However most students are already receiving the maximum amount of federal loans during the regular semesters and would have to request additional funds in private loans.

Example:
  • Fall 07/Spring 08 fulltime cost of attendance
    (including living expenses) = $47,230
  • Maximum federal loans = $20,500
  • Maximum private loan = $26,730

  • Include 2 hour Fall 07 intersession class, Tuition = $2400
  • Total tuition (Fall 07 intersession/Fall 07 regular/Spring 08) = $49,630
  • Maximum federal loans = $20,500
  • Maximum private loan = $29,130

To include the intersession class into your cost of attendance, after registering for the class, provide verification of enrollment to the Financial Aid Office.

If you have any questions, please stop by or call our office.
