Telephone Services


Phone Systems:

Telephone services at FCSL use Nortel Networks phones and the Meridian Mail voicemail system. The Meridian Mail access procedures and menu tree can be found here.


Calling Instructions:
  • To call anywhere within the FCSL main campus, you need only dial the four digit extension of the party you are calling.

  • To call a local number outside of FCSL, dial 9 + number. Jacksonville does not require 10 digit dialing, so use of the area code is not necessary.

  • To call long distance, dial 9 + area code + number. You will then hear a constant tone on the line. At this point you must enter your long distance code provided by FCSL.
System Broadcast Instructions:
  • Login to the Nortel Voice Mail System (x7699).
  • Key in 75 to Compose.
  • Hit the # key again.
  • Key in 5 to record and hit the # key to end.
  • Key in 79 to send.

For any questions, problems, or if you need assistance with the phone system, contact the Help Desk at x7624. Hardware and line problems are usually addressed by a Sprint technicial within 36 - 48 hours.
