Where can I get a copy of Microsoft Office?

The Coastal Law IT department is pleased to announce that Microsoft Office 365 is for FREE to all actively enrolled students at Coastal Law. Office 365 is a suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Lync, and InfoPath. Each enrolled student gets a free license to install these products on up to 5 different devices. It’s available for Windows computers, Apple Computers, iOS (iPhone, iPad), and Android devices (smart phones, tablets).

How do I download and install it?

Log into your student email by accessing it on the Coastal Law homepage under the “Tools” tab. Once logged in, look at the top right of the page, and click the Settings   option and then Office 365 Settings optionas shown below:

3.       Then click the Software option.

4.       You will see the Office page below…select a Language, and then click Install as shown at the bottom.

Troubleshooting

During installation you may get a "Something went wrong…” error …if so, please refer to General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013 and Office 365.

After you have installed the products, try creating a few documents to familiarize yourself. If any product looks blurry, displays as all black or all white, the screen flickers, or looks different on different computers, you need to review the Office 365 doesn’t look right document.

Additional Info

Please note these free products are available to currently active students from Microsoft, so any change in your enrollment status will result in the expiration of the license and the functionality of the products usability.
