What Career Services Can Do For You:

The Career Services Department (CSD) assists FCSL students and alumni in all stages of their career planning process. Our services include the following:

Counseling Service:

Counceling Service is available for guidance on fulfilling your career goals, questions about the employment market or assistance with career research.

Programming:

Alumni are welcome to attend any of the CSD’s career education programs. Such programs include seminars ranging from practice area information to interviewing strategies to writing a dynamic resume and cover letter. You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops such as self-assessment, personality inventories, interviewing techniques, and job search tactics.

We would love to have you come back to FCSL's campus to speak with students about your experiences, knowledge of practice areas, or about life after law school. Resume and Cover Letter Critique:

FCSL can provide you with a fresh perspective along with suggestions on how to craft an appealing resume and cover letter to best market yourself. Also, please be aware that you may download the Career Planning Guide on FCSL’s online Career Center, Easelaw at www.easelaw.com/fcsl.

CSD Library:

The CSD library contains numerous books and career publications including dozens of directories, job search guides, titles on substantive areas of practice, and more. Alumni can check these books out for up to two weeks.

Job Fairs:

FCSL participates in several annual job fairs within Florida and across the nation. Alumni are invited to participate as long as they meet the employer’s hiring criteria.
