Career Services

The Career Services Department (CSD) is a comprehensive career counseling and resource center. It is our Mission to help students and alumni prepare for all aspects of their career paths. The CSD assists students and alumni in identifying and developing their legal credentials and exploring and/or creating specific employment opportunities.

In addition to providing advice on resume and cover letter writing, job search techniques, interviewing skills and networking, the CSD presents informative career panels, speakers, and workshops throughout the year to educate students on a diverse range of career opportunities. The CSD also coordinates recruitment activities on and off campus and serves as a liaison between student, alumni, and employers in an effort to facilitate employment related connections.

A common misconception about career services departments is that they are designed to "place" law students in jobs or "find" jobs for law students. The CSD at Florida Coastal is not a placement office and does not place or find jobs for law students. Rather, our role is to teach, guide and facilitate the career planning process so that students and alumni will be equipped with the necessary skills to secure their dream job at any point in their careers.
